Sign a PDF
Sign a PDF on your phone, tablet or Mac
Draw your signature with a finger, type your name, or import a photo of your signature on paper. Place it anywhere on the page and share a signed PDF.

How it works
- 01
Choose the PDF
Use Sign a PDF in Tools for any document, or answer the signature question while you fill a form.
- 02
Make your signature
Draw it, type your name in a handwriting style, or import a photo of your signature. Fillstep removes the paper so only the ink is left.
- 03
Place it and share
Drag the signature where it belongs and resize it. Add initials or today's date the same way, then share the signed PDF.
Saved for next time
Keep your signature and initials so the next form takes one tap. The free plan keeps 2 signatures and 2 sets of initials; Pro keeps as many as you like. Signing is never blocked: an extra signature is still used on the form, just not saved.
Your signature stays on your device
Signatures are stored in Fillstep's private storage on the device and are never uploaded. They are excluded from iCloud and Google backups.
What kind of signature is this?
Fillstep makes simple electronic signatures: an image of your signature placed on the document. Many everyday forms accept this, such as applications, leases, school and medical forms.
It does not create certificate-based or qualified electronic signatures that some governments, courts and banks require. When in doubt, check what the person asking for the form accepts.
